Confession Wednesdays: I'm OBSESSED

Note: This is the last day to enter my giveaway! Entries must be in by tonight at midnight!

All right, I know this is going to come as a shock to some of you.

I still can't even believe it, and I was there.

My roommate, Katie, and I have been trying to get some exercise lately and our friend Sara has been joining in the fun. We walk a few laps around our complex, averaging anywhere between 3-5 miles a day. For now. We're building up our endurance, okay? We'll be running marathons before you know it.

Anywho, Sara came over last night and didn't have anywhere to be after our workout, so she planned to hang out with us and join us for dinner. She also brought along a certain popular vampire movie that I have frequently ranted against here on this blog.

We watched the movie and I was fully prepared to make as much fun of it as possible. I mean, the books were not so great and the story completely fell apart by book 3.

But then Robert Pattinson showed up on my TV screen and WOW. I was hooked. He is so dreamy. I don't know how I missed it before! You all were right all along!

And the movie turned out to be really, really...well, not amazing, but WAY better than I expected. I loved it so much that I asked Sara if I could borrow her copy and when I couldn't sleep last night, I watched it AGAIN. And then I pulled out the book and reread the first three or four chapters.

I am just in LOVE with Twilight now! Go figure. If I had known the movie was going to be so awesome and that Robert Pattinson was going to be so...so...there are no words!...I would have watched it months ago! I mean, I can't believe that I mistook Edward's undying devotion to Bella as being controlling, obsessive and completely psychotic. What was I thinking?? Clearly he just really loves her. Incredible.

I seriously have a new obsession now. I can't get enough. I just can't wait to get home and watch it again.

Here's a picture I drew of Edward last night while I was watching the movie. Doesn't it look just like him??

  1. Hahaha! I love you. He looks actually sort of good looking in that picture, though.

  2. I'm like you...did not "get" the attraction and hype about the book series and the movie. Until I watched it a couple of weekends ago. Loved the movie. It briefly made me want to read the series. But, I've changed my mind. I still love the movie but am just not willing to get hooked on the books right now.

  6. Kristina and Kristi are the only ones paying attention, I see! :-)

April Fools, everyone! I'm NOT watching the movie, I do NOT think RPattz is hot and I did NOT draw that picture.

    Sorry to disappoint you all!

And I'm a little bit sorry for making fun of whomever DID draw that picture and post it on the internet for all to see. That's brave!

  7. Uhm, wait. I'm reading that going, "I was there last night too! WTF?!" Katie agrees with me, i'm gonna get plastic surgery to look just like Robert Pattinson, and we're gonna have sweet vampire babies. Now i just gotta find my Smiths and Sisters of Mercy records, and even I can become all pouty and gothy. It'll be awesome!

  8. Good joke!

Haven't read the books and haven't seen the movie. I'm curious what the hype is all about so I will at least check out the movie since renting practically costs pennies with my Blockbuster plan. The book series? I don't know yet if I'll "bite."
