Team: Teen Wolf

I did it. I wore the t-shirt I bought just for New Moon. Here's my report:

Number of dirty looks: 0
Number of attempts on my life: 0
Number of double-takes: 4
Number of giggles: 12 or so
Number of girls that told me they LOVE my shirt, love Jacob and hate Edward: 2

Sarah and I went to the 11:40am showing this morning at the local AMC theater. It's showing on 6 screens at this particular cineplex, so we weren't exactly sure what to expect in terms of crowds, especially before noon on a Saturday. We went kind of early, just to make ensure we'd get a decent spot in line. It sucks to have to sit too close to the screen in a movie theater.

Since we were at the first showing of the day for our particular screen, we went straight in without waiting in line. The theater was practically empty.

Forty minutes later, just minutes before the lights went out, almost the entire theater was packed.

I'm pretty much shocked at how much I liked this movie. I didn't think it would be terrible because the first one wasn't as bad as I expected and I knew this director has a track record for directing and producing some decent films. Plus they had a bigger budget for the second film, and it was based on the book that I really liked.

But STILL. I...I...loved New Moon.

Gasp!

I know. It's true. I'll just admit it. I loved New Moon. It was surprisingly well-done. They managed to translate the story nicely to the screen. The soundtrack was fantastic. And the CGI werewolves actually LOOKED like...WOLVES. I know. What a concept, right??

Sarah did hit me once or twice during the movie. I am not one to normally talk during movies, but after watching a whole movie full of this:

I just had to remark that this was kind of a letdown:

Don't get me wrong. I still feel a little bit weird and creeped out by the middle-aged ogling of young Mr. Lautner, but, really. I just don't get the Edward thing. I didn't even think he was all that cute as Cedric Diggory.

But, millions of fangirls can't possibly be wrong...right?

Whatever.

Watching New Moon made me just scratch my head more over why so many fans are anti-Jacob. I know Stephenie Meyer always intended Bella and Edward to live happily ever after, but it's clear to me that Jacob and Bella are a better match. Too bad.

Anyway, that's how I spent my Saturday.

How was yours?

YOWZA! **Oogles your pic of Jacob for a while** Can I steal your pic of Jacob and put it on my blog? Or better yet the background to my computer? WOW!

I have ALWAYS been a Jacob fan! ALWAYS! Love that guy to death. If I were to rewrite the story, Jacob and Bella would totally be together.

I really enjoyed New Moon as well, despite moments that were so cheesy I felt embarrassed to still be looking at the screen. But yes, Jacob did steal the show away from Edward.

Maybe instead of her virginity, Bella could ggive Edward some bronzer.

I'm not a Twilight fan- read the first two books and just didn't keep going after that. But I gotta say...

Let Bella have Edward. Then Jacob is available for the rest of us!! Or for Taylor Swift.

Hubby and I went to New Moon last night and he kept rolling his eyes every time Jacob came on screen. I think I may have squealed at one point!!! Great film I loved it!!

I know that I am the only person in America that has NOT read the books or seen the movies. This post actually kind of made me want to read the books :) Seriously. You weren't pushy or crazy about it like some people!

I'm going Wednesday, and I can't wait! I wondered about how crowded it would be. I'm thinking, eh, matinee on a Wednesday (granted, the one before Thanksgiving), how crowded can it be?? But, after reading this, I think I'll make sure to get there early, or order tickets online.

I love me some Twilight, but I am neither an Edward nor a Jacob fan. Now Emmett, on the other hand...

New Moon wasn't as campy as the first movie, so it wasn't as easy to mock. But I still enjoyed it. Especially the scene where Bella and Edward are dressed in white, running slow-mo through the forest. Delicious!

And speaking of delicious: Team Jacob FTW!!

I have to say I kinda liked Jacob better in this movie than I did Edward. I just got a sense of comfort and safety everytime Jacob was in a scene with Bella. Edward didn't leave me with that feeling..he didn't seem as protective.

But I did love the movie!!! I've heard that Eclipse will be released this summer...I can hardly wait for that one!!!

I'm so happy that you loved it. I didn't really care for Jacob in the books. I guess it's because Edward was written to be oh so perfect.
