Let's Face It Friday (Title Subject to Change)

Happy New Year!

We made it!

2010.

Kind of weird, isn't it?

What's really weird is that this is the fourth time in my life that I've seen the turn of a decade. How did that happen??

Anyways, so it's a new year. And, for many of us, that means it's time for new goals. For others, it's always time for new goals.

Over the summer, I made a list of stuff to do and did a pretty good job of doing it. I tried again in the fall and failed miserably. And I know there were two reasons. The first is that I had a plan for getting through my summer list. Not so much during the fall. But the real issue was that I stopped following up. I didn't want to bore you all with my updates, so I didn't do them. And then I just didn't work on my goals either.

One of the best ways to meet our goals (whether we start them on January 1st or April 22nd or September 30th), is to have a support system. A person or a group that we can be accountable to, but that aren't going to judge us when we don't quite make it.

And so, my good friend Jennee and I are joining forces to encourage each other, ourselves, and all of you in whatever it is that we want to do this year.

Every Friday in 2010--

(or, you know, for as long as we decide to keep it going)

--Jennee and I will be reporting in on our progress and adding MckLinky's so that you can all join in the fun. Some of our posts might be quasi-motivational, others might be self-deprecating, but really, it's all going to be about support and helping each other along.

I've thought long and hard about how to do this. Last year, I had just one goal. To be more honest. I talked about that a couple of days ago. And I considered having just one goal this year, too. But there are a lot of things I really want to do. And, in some cases, some things I really need to do.

So I've decided to jump onto the "65 in 365" bandwagon. Over there on my sidebar, I've listed 65 things I want to do in these next 365 days. So the plan (subject to change) is to choose one or two items off my list each week and work on them, and then report my progress on Fridays.

Sound good?

We'll see how this goes. I'm pretty excited about it. 2009 kind of sucked and I know the success or suckiness of 2010 is entirely in my hands. And I've decided this year is gonna ROCK.

Anyways, if you'd like to join in the fun, link up below. A button will probably be coming soon. Maybe designing one should be one of my goals!

And go check out Jennee's post for today because her launch is seriously better than mine.

I hope you all had a great night last night, have a nice day today and have a fabulous week!

Wow Girl! That's some list. Some great things are on there though. Good luck! I'll be interested to see how you make out.

Now I feel very inadequate . . . I didn't even make 1 resolution!

That's an awesome list. I'm not sure I'm that ambitious. I've been working on a "40 by 40" list. We'll see how that goes.

Ah, I need to renew my passport too...thanks for that reminder.

Um, the Oscar party sounds fun...I'm a really great party host. Just sayin'.

As for the Esty shop...I highly suggests some fantastic scarves.

I used to be a seamstress...I can help you with that skirt. I don't even need patterns...of course, the usually turn out better if you use them.

That's what I'm here for...to help you out! lol.

And I'm a really big fan of #65. That is a cool way to keep you on your toes and make up if you don't do so well. Best of luck!

Great list. I need to steal some of those right off your list and do them too...which probably means I need to make a list. Hmmm.

This is a great idea and very ambitious. I don't think I could think of 65 things I want to do (unless I added lots of things I already do do). Good luck. I look forward to witnessing your progress on Let's Face it Fridays.

I'm not a list or resolutions type but I do know that the way to succeed is to have a solid plan. I support you and look forward to watching your progress!

Good luck on accomplishing your goals for the year! Hopefully blogging about it and having a buddy to help you through them will keep you accountable. Happy 2010!

That's a fantastic list! A nice combination of stuff that'll be fairly easy to achieve and stuff that'll be more challenging. Best of luck!

What a great idea! I would love to participate with you. But, honestly, even the number 65 is a bit on the intimidating side for me. I'm going to give it some serious thought, tho. I wish you all the best as we begin this new year. I love your blog and your writing, and am looking forward to all that you've got coming for your readers!
