Blog of the Week: Sussing Out LOST!

If y'all are looking for a new blog design, PLEASE seriously check out my designer, Susan.

What Happened To My House?

I already knew Susan was awesome, but I found out yesterday just how much I love her.

For one thing, she designed a great new button for my Blog of the Week:

Blog of the Week Badge

Isn't it fabulous??

For those of you that have already been featured and would like to proudly display the new button, please email me and I'll send you the code.

(I know it should go without saying, but this image is copyrighted and if I see it on a blog that I haven't featured, we're gonna have some words. 'Kay?)

Ahem.

So I already love my blog design and I love the new button and all that. But yesterday, I attempted to give myself a heart attack. I was screwing up making changes to the background for another blog I'm administrating and I was in the process of trying to change the background, all by myself. After a few failed attempts, I closed a few windows, deciding it was time to walk away and come back later.

Well. Something got in my head to try just one more thing. I made the changes to the html code, clicked SAVE and then clicked View Blog.

To my absolute HORROR, I had changed the template on MY OWN BLOG!

While in the midst of fighting off the severe asthma attack that would surely have resulted from my hyperventilating, I suddenly remembered that Susan, the blessed and wonderful GENIUS that she is, had made sure that I had access to all of the images/html code.

I love you, Susan.

I had to make some tweaks and changes because all of my sidebar crap stuff was a bit rearranged, but I think I've basically got it back to normal now.

BIG SIGH OF RELIEF

Anyways...

So...this leads me to a new Blog of the Week. And this week, the honor goes to: Sussing Out LOST!

That's right. In honor of LOST's return to the airwaves, I wanted to take this week to honor one of the best LOST blogs I read. There are a lot of them out there on the internet.

(I think the exact number is somewhere around 4815162342.)

The lovely ladies over at Sussing Out LOST go to great and painstaking lengths to break down each episode every week, point out the zillions of things I missed the first time, and then chat about theories and questions and anything else anyone wants to say about one of the best television shows of all time.

And the best part? They're, like, normal people. So that means everything they talk about is, like, normal. Don't get me wrong. I love Dark UFO as much as the next LOST addict, but let's face it. Those posts have a tendency to get all technical and geeky. Sussing Out LOST is a normal blog for normal people that love the show and want to talk about pretty boys. And girls.

(Although it still hurts my heart a little bit to see all the Kate Hate over there.)

So, if you love LOST, or if you thought about giving up on LOST because you're, well, lost, then head on over and check these ladies out!

  1. I love LOST and I haven't read a single blog devoted to it. I will give this one a try.

  3. I finally watched the Season Premier yesterday. I was just so-so about it, but I do like the angle with the smoke monster.

I too have never read a single blog or website about it.

  7. I stumbled on that page a few days ago, right before Lost came back on air...and I felt so out of place! Glad that your blog disaster is worked out...and yes, I want that button. It is cute.

  9. I've never read any blogs about Lost. I stick with Lostpedia or Television Without Pity. But it would be nice to hear other theories and whatnot.

Expect another rambling email from me in a couple days after the next season airs. It's going to probably be a weekly thing. I hope you're okay with that.

  10. We ran out of room on our dvr, so we have to watch Lost on the computer soon. We'll have to dvr it tomorrow night. I've been on the verge of not watching it for the past few seasons, but will probably hang in there.
