There Are Still Two Shopping Days Left!
Hey, everyone!
I know my birthday just kind of snuck up on everyone, especially since I've been so careful not to mention it three or four dozen times in the past month, but I wanted to assure you that there are still TWO WHOLE DAYS left to find that perfect gift.
Need some ideas?
Never fear! Because I've decided to help you out by giving you some last minute ideas that are sure to make you my new BFF.
(Not that I'm looking to replace my current BFF. You could just be my co-besties or something.)
1. A Stack of Gift Cards
I'm one of those girls that hates giving gift cards, but absolutely LOVES getting them. Some of my favorite places for gift cards? Oh, you know...Qantas Airlines, Dooney & Burke, Prada...
Acceptable substitutes: a stack of books, a stack of cash...and right now? I'd even happily accept a stack of pancakes. I'm hungry!
2. Artwork for My Bedroom Walls
What? I like it. And it was ON LOAN when I went all the way to Paris to see it. I think it should go on permanent loan to the blank space above my television.
It doesn't have to be Van Gogh, of course. Monet, Degas, DaVinci, or even TheNephew are just fine.
3. Baseball Tickets
It doesn't have to be Van Gogh, of course. Monet, Degas, DaVinci, or even TheNephew are just fine.
3. Baseball Tickets
Season tickets. To the Angels. Dugout adjacent, if you please.
4. A Quick Trip to LA
4. A Quick Trip to LA
Next Sunday, please. At around...6pm? And I won't be picky about my seats, especially if they're anywhere in the first 10 rows.
5. A Doctor
Doctor Jack Shepherd, that is. I know a lot of you don't watch LOST, but after this week's episode, I'm definitely wishing this doctor made house calls.
So there you go. Just a short list of things guaranteed to

I'm sorry that I'm too poor to give you a gift for your birthday. But a nice, typed "Happy Birthday!" will be given to you on the special day.
ReplyDeleteWell..... I wish I could get you everything..... sadly I can't - hoping you have a great birthday!!! Very cute post by the way!!
ReplyDeletelol, love this post Karen. I hope your birthday will be wonderful!!!
ReplyDelete2 days, eh? I think I can get everything on your list taken care of! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
ReplyDeleteI thought about asking any of my fellow (male) residents if they were interested in making house calls, what with you wanting a doctor and all for your birthday. However, all the ones who were available looked more like Doc Bricker from Love Boat, and not anything like Jack Shepard. McDreamy, McSteamy, and George Clooney were also noticable absent.
ReplyDeleteSadly, we will never see eye-to-eye on Foxy. Jack doesn't do it for me at all. But, that means less competition for you, right? Hope your birthday wishes come true!
ReplyDeleteI hope you receive tons of wonderful birthday surprises! And we have a printed canvas of that same Van gogh!
ReplyDeleteHow about a Snuggie?
ReplyDeleteYou are just like me about your bday. And if you get those tickets, I am BEGGING you to take me!
ReplyDeleteHow about a virtual birthday hug? I'm running a little short on Doctor Jack around here!
ReplyDeleteWell, you're not asking for much, are ya? Let me see what I can do...seeing as I got connections and all. lol
ReplyDeleteI can't exactly send you the guy from Lost but I can ship one or two of my kids off to you.
ReplyDeleteNo, wait...that'd be more like a present for me than it would be for you.
I could give you the stack of pancakes, but I'm not sure how I'd get them to you!
ReplyDeleteAny excuse to shop, I'll get right on that!
ReplyDeleteI think we share a birthday! Mine is the 27th. Trying to figure out if your "two more shopping days" includes your birthday day or not. Anyway, hope yours is spectacular.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have an awesome birthday, and I will be thinking of you. Even if I can't make all your wishes come true.
ReplyDeleteI could maybe contribute to your stack of gift cards if you don't mind one from Panera with $2.78 left, one from Office Depot with $1.89 left, one from Cato with $2.34 left, etc... I seem to have several like that.
Just catching up here and will keep reading to see how this all worked out for ya'.
ReplyDeleteBTW not everyone hates buying gift cards. I LOVE them, takes all the pressure off when buying for the grandkids. But you are right, I love getting them.
