When Worlds Collide
TOTAL blogger AWESOMENESS. That's what.
Picture it.
Friday night. Downtown Disney. Six chatty bloggers and one good-natured (though slightly bored) husband.
Like I said. Awesomeness.
My blog
My roommate, Davey, quite gallantly offered to drop me off so that I wouldn't have to pay the exorbitant parking fee. On the way, Kristina dashed off a quick text to let us know she was already seated at a table "in the back corner."
When I got to the restaurant, I asked the seating host, "Um...I'm meeting some friends here. Which one's the back corner?"
He showed me to the table, assuming I was with the boisterous birthday party. Luckily, I saw Kristina at the next table and recognized her immediately. I wouldn't have known how to explain to the host that I was meeting some friends for the FIRST TIME EVER.
Hugs were exchanged and greetings were made and I felt like I'd known these ladies for years.
And then the chatting commenced.
No topic was off limits.
From gossip around the blogoverse to the invention of the Vajazzler--
(Yep. It's EXACTLY what it sounds like.)
--to the Casual Bloggers Conference--
(And I'm STILL praying that the conference gods will smile down and provide a miracle that will allow me to attend...)
--we talked about anything and everything.
And then we went to Disneyland and they tried to kill me on Indiana Jones.
Luckily, I survived.
And then Kris kicked my butt on the Astro Blasters.
Oh, what a night.

Everyone kicked my but at the Astro game! It was the enchiladas!
ReplyDeleteIt was so fun to meet everyone, and I'm glad we could finally get together.
And you didn't even die during Indiana Jones!
All of my favorite bloggers had fun meetups this weekend. I am ridiculously jealous.
ReplyDeleteMan, I missed out on the fun again! Glad you had a good time. What is it about you and Indiana Jones?!?!

ReplyDeleteAlso, my thoughts are more random than rambling. But...potato, potahto.

There are so many meet-ups on that side of the country. Jealous!

ReplyDeleteI guess I have to go google Vajazzler.

ReplyDeleteI missed out on a local blogger meetup last week - I'm glad to know yours was so rewarding - it's more incentive for me to make it to mine next time!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a ton of fun. What is a Casual Bloggers Conference?
ReplyDeleteYou guys are both COOL. An evening with the two of you would be a blast...especially at Downtown Disney!
ReplyDeleteI don't mean to brag, but I am a sniper for the CIA. Code name: Bullseye. Though I'm thinking of changing it to Lady Vajazzler.
ReplyDeleteMeeting you was a ton of fun and I can't wait to do it again!
I'm jealous, but I'm glad you had fun!
ReplyDeleteI would have told the host I was meeting the woman in the Snuggie.
Kristina seems like she would be a blast to hang out with! How awesome you were able to meet up with your blogger friends. I've yet to meet any IRL
ReplyDeleteI, too, hope you can attend the bloggers conference. I'll be there. Maybe we can meet.
ReplyDeleteGood luck getting your ticket. :-)
