It's the End of the World as We Know It

The other day, Katie and I were talking about this whole notion of sponsorships and giveaways and whatnot and I told her that I couldn't imagine EVER accepting a sponsorship for my blog.

She said that was just because no one had yet offered the right price.

While I conceded she was probably right, I still couldn't think of ANY scenario--

(short of, like, a CAR)

--where I would actually sell ad space here in my world.

So, it was kind of ironic that I opened my email the very next morning and found an email from a representative of Columbian Studios offering me a pretty sweet deal.

I thought and thought about it, but in the end, it was an offer I really couldn't refuse.

While I'm not allowed to disclose the details of the deal just yet, I do want to let you know that this is going to mean some EXCITING changes for my little blog.

In order to help the studio promote their exciting new 2012 sequel, 2013  :

2013 movie poster

The cast hasn't been finalized, but the film is being directed by none other than JJ ABRAMS!

From now until the release next Winter, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays will be dedicated to sneak peeks, cast interviews, and possibly even GIVEAWAYS!

Are you as excited as I am??

I had to add the original film to my Netflix list since I never even saw it, but I think it's going to be a GREAT year!

  1. April Fool's...I forgot that was today!!!

2013 is a TV series coming up, though, from what I just read. Was that a joke too?

  3. I know it's a joke because 2013 is not coming soon. It's like so far away I can't even imagine what it will be like. Cars will fly. (Note: my brain is permanently stuck in 1999.)

  4. If this is an April Fool's joke, I am going to be a little angry with you because in my weird world, it would be one step closer to us making that movie we talk about.

  6. I get fished in my April Fool's stuff every. single. year.

Like have you been to Google's homepage today? They explain how they're changing their name to Topeka.

These are the kind of April Fool's pranks I love, though. A simple gag that doesn't hurt anyone. Fun!

  7. I don't like April Fool's. It takes me clear until the end of the joke to catch on, and then I look incredibly dense. But ha, ha, very funny.
