Aloha

There's not a new Featured Blog this week.

I just don't have the energy to choose one today.

Plus, tonight's the big night. The LOST Series Finale and I feel like it's sort of fitting to end LOST week with a bit of a farewell.

I've spent a lot of time thinking about it this week. The end.

I waited months in anticipation of the series premier. I've dreaded the finale.

There's a lot of mixed emotion going into tonight. Many are prepared to finally find all the answers. Others expect to be disappointed.

I think that whatever happens, happens. Regardless of how it all plays out tonight, regardless of which questions are answered and which are left to debate and argue for years to come, it's been an incredible six years.

It's been amazing, going along for the ride these last six years. There have been thrills and laughs and tears. I've cheered for certain characters and jeered others. I've been frustrated and entertained. And I've never been disappointed.

Which is why there's a little part of me that is excited about tonight. It's going to be amazing.

I'm just not sure I'm ready for it to end.

And so, to Damon Lindelof, Carlton Cuse, and JJ Abrams, I'd just like to say thank you for putting together this incredible series and this amazing cast and crew.

And please come up with another project soon. I'm going to go through withdrawals if I don't get Matthew Fox, Jorge Garcia, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Emerson and some of the others back on my TV on a regular basis!

I guess this is the last time I'll post about LOST. At least, without knowing how it all ends. To those of you that will be watching tonight, I hope you love it!

And now, a final clip. This is from Season 1 and it's always been, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful scenes of the series. Michael, Walt, Jin and Sawyer are leaving on a raft they've built. It's a moving send off, with goodbyes all around, and scored by the talented Michael Giacchino.

  1. LOL, "whatever happens, happens"

Less than an hour before the event. I can't believe it.

And scenes like this one have always been my favorite, too... the one where the Oceanic 6 come home is one that comes to mind, too. Where there is little or no dialog... Giacchino's fabulous score takes center stage.

  2. So, I am two episodes behind, but I am trying to determine if I am just going to skip them and watch the finale.

  3. God, that Season 1 finale was just a beautiful piece of storytelling as a whole.

  4. My feelings on LOST are the same. However it ends, it's been great.

Unfortunately, I'm working tonight, so our Lost Finale is waiting until tomorrow (so no spoilers please!)

I guess the ending must have been kind of confusing?
