A Programming Note

Did I ever tell you how I discovered the awesomeness that is Kristina Pulsipher?

It was during this crazy weekend early in 2009 when she turned her blog into an open forum for all manner of insanity and confessions and general mayhem.

That was when I learned of our mutual love for Post Secret and being awesome and I've been stalking her ever since.

Anyway, the whole point of all of that is to tell you that I am ripping off Kristina's idea following in Kristina's footsteps and opening my blog up this weekend for some craziness.

What do I mean?

It's very simple. This weekend, I am re-enabling anonymous comments, disabling my stats counters and everything that could give away your identity and inviting you to confess your heart out right here on my blog.

Want a second baby but you're afraid to tell your husband? Did you find your boss in a compromising situation? Have you never read a Harry Potter book?

Well, this weekend is your chance to get those secrets off your chest without incriminating yourself!

It's easy, it's fun and it's therapeutic.

So spread the word, and come by this Saturday through Monday to confess to your heart's delight. Who knows? I might even post a secret or two...

  1. Wow, you shouldn't have!! (That is my one attempt to be humble.)

Can't wait!! Good luck! I stopped doing them because the comments started getting mean. I hope you don't have that issue.

  2. Wow.

I better get out and start doing some nasty things that I'll need to confess in a few days.

  3. I had no idea you were also a PostSecret lover. I knew they were out there, obviously, but I didn't know it was you! Now you are even more awesome!

  4. I love this idea! Can't wait to read (and possibly contribute????) the confessions. And at the risk of proving that I am old and unhip - what is Post Script?

  5. I love this idea :)

And... I'm a closet Post Secret fan, too. That and Perez Hilton, but only online - his voice is like nails down a chalkboard to me, lol.

  10. Talk about courageous! This will be interesting to watch. I'm a bit gun shy of something like this. Just two weeks ago my computer was hacked. I had to buy a new computer and now I have all sorts of security. Though, I don't think you'd have the same problem. But I'm not real tech savvy. Just be careful.

    Hope all goes well.

  11. This is a great idea! Though I suppose commenting on this post is a dead give-away of who will actually be posting anything :P

And I had NO idea what Post Secrets was. Now I know :)

  12. I always forget to check the "anonymous" box and end up commenting WITH MY NAME. I am just too challenged to be stealth. SO now the whole world knows that I can eat 8 items from the taco bell menu in one swoop. there. it's out there. again.

  13. If someone thinks reading a Harry Potter book is a secret or confession, they aren't LIVING.
