Currently--November

There are about three or four different posts trying to write themselves in my head at the moment, and a NaNovel that is begging to be finished. But it's also been awhile since I've done one of these, so this wins.

Current Book
I don't know why, but I've had a hard time finishing books lately. I've been working on both of these for awhile:
Catch 22 by Joseph Heller (which is hilarious, but dense)
The Drawing of the Three by Stephen King (it's the 2nd book in the Dark Tower series...I have to finish all 7 before December 31st...)

Current Albums
Don't really have one, but getting ready to deck my iPod with Christmas.

Current Shame-Inducing Guilty Pleasure
Breaking Dawn, Part 1. Tonight. 8pm. Made my own t-shirt and everything. I'm so ashamed...

Current Drink
Coke.

Current Favorite BlogI don't have one favorite. It's just not possible. But I've been having fun discovering some AWESOME new bloggers through my Blog Awards.

I haven't been to the movies in awhile, so I'm still holding onto Crazy Stupid Love, on of my summer faves. (I'm pretty sure Breaking Dawn will NOT take its place.)

For your iPod Christmas, I recommend NSync Christmas and Jimmy Buffett Christmas. Oh, and Beach Boys!

You should be ashamed. . . I haven't given in to that Twilight stuff yet.

I am so envious of anyone who can watch The Walking Dead. It seriously gives me nightmares. It's hard to admit that I'm too wimpy to keep watching.

The entire Dark Tower series? I'm impressed. I couldn't even get past the first paragraph of the first book. I can't remember why, just that I didn't like it.

Weird because The Stand and The Dead Zone are of 2 my favorite books by S.K.

So much awesome here!

I'm glad you're reading THE DARK TOWER! The scope of that series is so vast, it blows my mind. It's what made me start writing seriously, and will always be so precious to me.

Also, I'm so with you on The Walking Dead and Revenge. Loving them both this season!

Do the zombies count as part of your Walking Dead crush, technically they're cast, right? Hehe. I'm glad you mentioned loading the iPod with Christmas tunes, I need to get on top of that soon.

What I Just Watched at the Theater

Dark Shadows--This movie was just plain delightful for me. Funny and campy and I think I've finally found a vampire to love.
The Avengers--Good movie. Lots of fun. Some of the fight sequences felt like they dragged a bit, but the characters came together perfectly and Joss Whedon's dialogue is perfect. Saw it in 3D and it was worth the extra 3 bucks.
The Cabin in the Woods--This takes that creepy-cabin-by-the-lake story and gives it a big, weird twist. It was a fun movie to watch, but not my favorite project from the Whedon-verse. Again, great dialogue, though. Plus, Chris Hemsworth. I mean, hello.

What I Just Finished Reading

The Drawing of the Three by Stephen King--I just am having a really hard time getting into the Dark Tower series. I know people love them, but I'm not so sure they're for me.
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson--It took awhile to get into this, but once I did I could NOT put it down. Great mystery. Fascinating characters. A great story overall!
The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin--A pretty simple and straightforward memoir, but a really nice look at happiness, what it is, and how to have more of it in everyday life. I really liked this book and read it just when I needed to.
Twitterpated by Melanie Jacobson--A fun story with great characters, witty dialogue, and situations that are believable without being mundane. It's a perfect choice if you want to kick back with a happy story that will surely make you smile.
