Cruising Along in Week 3: Project 52
After an amazing, unexpected season, my beloved San Francisco 49ers lost to the Giants yesterday by a field goal in overtime.
Sad face.
But, Happy Face! As I write this, my friend Marly is at the hospital, hopefully having a baby boy!
And another friend, Stephanie, got to bring her brand new baby boy home yesterday.
And Marly and Stephanie are next-door neighbors in the same apartment complex. Must be something in the water over there.
Anyway, with all this excitement happening all around me, I've still managed to scratch a few things off my list.
You already know about the awesome Indian restaurant (#47) that Marly and I found a couple of weeks ago.
And that audition for the OCMCO (#35) a week or so ago.
Last Monday, on Martin Luther King Day, I went out with Stephanie and her husband and my roommate and tried Eggs Benedict (#40) for the first time.
And you know what? They were yummy. Super yummy. I don't know why I've never tried them before. But they were worth the 34.92 year wait.
I've also got got 2 out of 15 trips to Disneyland finished. And another one this weekend when some friends from Utah come to town. More on that later.
There have been 4 soda-free days so far. Which actually sounds a little bit pathetic since it's now January 23. Gonna have to step that up.
Aaaaand...I think that's about it. For now.
But hey. Three goals finished and two in progress in the first three weeks of the year? I'll call that a win.
I'm feeling optimistic.
2012 is gonna be a good year.
How are you doing so far? Be sure to link up below and share!
And it is NEVER too late to join in the fun. Add your list to our Master Linky right here.
You are awesome. And if you share this post, you'll be even awesomer!

I have not accomplished much. But I'm attributing that to the fact that out of the 23 days of 2012, 14 of them have been spent working nights and 3 days were spent on call, and 6 days were spent with a sick kid. But I have every intention of getting started...eventually.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm reading Austenland. So much fun, such an easy read. Just what my tired brain needed. Thanks for the suggestion!
I think you're definitely off the hook, Katherine!
DeleteAnd I'm so glad you're enjoying the book!
You are doing fantastic! I keep having illness the kids, or right now mine, interrupt my plans. Hopefully we will all be and stay healthy soon!
ReplyDeleteI sure hope so. I can't take this whole everyone-on-the-planet-is-sick-at-the-same-time thing much longer.
DeleteI tried Eggs Benedict for the first time, last year! There is a place in Park City that does them vegetarian style with avocado and lots of yummy things. Seriously one of my new favorite dishes.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds yummy, Kristina! Next time I'm in Utah, I might have to make the drive to Park City and check that out...
DeleteSorry about the 49ers. That one really came down to the wire. Both games did!
ReplyDeleteI can't even talk about it.
DeleteYou should definitely call that a win! You've accomplished some amazing resolutions so far. Yay for yummy eggs benedict!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Meredith!
DeleteYou're doing awesome. Let's hope something unexpected doesn't happen to throw you off track. (wink, wink)
ReplyDeleteHaha, Em, I know not of what you speak!
DeleteI tried to consider possible contingencies when I was setting my goals. So I should still be able to do most of them, even if I break both my legs and end up in traction.
You amaze me! And so sorry about the 49ers. I wanted them to win too.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are feeling optimistic about your list this year! You are off to a great start! Keep it up and give up that soda! (lemonade is wonderful!)
ReplyDeleteI wanna go to Disneyland! It's my favorite place in earth
ReplyDeleteWow! You are off to an amazing start! Good for you.
ReplyDeleteMy days without soda laste one week. Then during a rough week at work someone bought me a diet pepsi, added lemon, and poured it over ice. It was delicous. Now I sit at the computer with my third can of the day in front of me. Ooops.
ReplyDeleteHooray for goals!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely HATE eggs! I try them every once in a while and just gag. Maybe I need to try them in new ways...ha. But the thought of that is just nasty!
ReplyDeleteI don't care for football one bit, but a group of us went to a bar to catch the game and it was fun. Well at least the last bit was when it was tied, went into over time, and we beat your butt!!
ReplyDeleteYou are doing so well! I would love to put 15 trips to Disneyland on my list!!! I'm happy with the one I'm taking next week. It's been two years and I'm going through major withdrawals.
