Who the Heck are these Nominees? Part Four

Congratulations on making it this far!

I hope you have been taking the opportunity to meet all of the awesome bloggers I've been introducing over the past few days. While they may all have a lot of things in common, I'm sure you've found that there are a million things that make them unique.

Today, I want to take a minute to highlight each of the five finalists that you have chosen as your Favorite Bloggers of 2012. All of the original ten nominees was worthy of the title in their own way. And these five certainly deserve their place in the spotlight.

Favorite Blog of the Year

Alex J. Cavanaugh--What can I say about Alex? He's part ninja, part superhero, and one astute blogger recently said that his way of visiting hundreds of blogs every single day surely means he must also be Santa Claus. The blogosphere is a different place since Alex found his way here. His way of supporting and encouraging his fellow bloggers through visits, following, blog hops...the list goes on. He makes every blogger feel important and I hope you will all take the chance to get to know him.

It Just Gets Stranger--Eli is one of the funniest bloggers I've ever not met. His Snuggie Texts post a year ago made him a blog-hold name practically overnight. And since then, he has been driving people crazy all over the country with emails about storing cats, improving relationships with his cat pals, texting 12-year-olds about their 8th grade crushes, and anything else he can do to lovingly torment otherwise insane people. He recently moved to the tiny island of Palau for a year and his adventures there are nothing short of hilarious.

Jennee Thompson--Jennee, Jennee, Jennee. She's the only one of these finalists that I've met in real life. And reading her blog is just like talking to her in person. She's a down-to-earth single girl living in small-town Ohio. She writes about her adventures and misadventures in singlehood, her journey to publishing her first book, pop culture, and anything else she feels like writing about. At times funny and other times serious, Jennee's blog is the place you go when you want to curl up on the couch and talk to a good friend.

Single Infertile Female--For years I've known her simply as S.I.F., even though she has revealed her first name. What started as a woman's struggle with endometriosis and a journey toward motherhood has taken a much different turn. It's been amazing to watch her evolution over the past two years. Today, she's on her way to publishing a book, shares some of the most hilarious and awful forays into dating in Alaska, and never forgets who she is. She's an inspiration.

Subliminal Coffee--I will confess that I don't know Suze nearly as well as the others because I haven't been reading her blog as long. But what I do know is that Suze is a great writer. Beautiful prose leaks out of her fingertips and onto the page. This is one of the best written blogs I've read about writing and books and everything in between. Definitely one you will not want to miss.

Thank you all so much for sticking with me through these introductory posts. I'll try to do these a little bit better next year. But in the mean time, make sure you get over there and vote for your favorites! You have until Wednesday!

You are awesome. And if you share this post, you'll be even awesomer!
