Birthday Wishes

I'm 36 today.
Which seems impossible. But it's true.
(I know because I just checked my driver license.)
It's so cliché, but I really don't know where the years go. It's as if every time I blink another has passed, nothing more than a wisp of memory.
Blah blah blah.
Over the past month or so, I've been thinking a lot about where I am now versus where I was a year ago and how much has changed since December of 2011.
So much has changed.
And yet, so much is the same.
I love progress. I love being able to look back and see that I've grown, that I'm growing. That I'm becoming more of the woman I'm capable of being. It's why Jennee and I started Project 52. It's why Angie and Jennee and I now do the Monthly Goal Link Up.
And it's good to work toward those goals and strive to be better.
But there's a small part of me that's still the little girl who believes that wishes come true. And for that reason, I have a couple of wishes for this next year.
I know you're not supposed to share them or they won't come true, but you know what? I'm gonna share them anyway, cuz it's MY birthday and I feel like it.
I wish...
to make someone smile every day
(even if that someone is only me)
St. Yves would bring back their amazing soy chili dogs
for that super adorable pair of shoes I found on Sole Society
to go on an amazing trip to somewhere spectacular and far, far away
for a certain legal matter to reach a fair conclusion
for flowers from a cute boy
to make it to 37 relatively unharmed
