I got the horribly ugly cell phone/purse from a co-worker. It is camouflage and just totally not my style. We have 4 grab bags at work so I can't regift it there and quite frankly I'd be too embarrassed to regift this thing lol!! Thrift store here I come :O

As I read this I was thinking...hmmm? I don't regift..have I? WAIT ! I will...I received a bag from someone here at work - beautifully wrapped with decadent delicious chocolate inside. She gave it to me and said - can you give this to someone as a Christmas gift? I don't want to lug this home. I said HELL YEAH! It's the only thing under my tree. I have no idea who it's going to, but oh yeah, it's a gift. One lucky recipient. Could be you.

That's a great story! I once regifted a book of my nephew's back to my brother. One day, a children's book showed up in my car, it was brand new and I had no idea where it came from, so I gave it to them for Christmas. I was so busted.

Oh snap. Why is it whenever i write really funny comments and/or long comments, I lose internet connection before I can post?!?!?

I love Bessie! There is a similar tradition going on with my friends in Miami, but I can't remember what the constant re-gifted gift is. The best white elephant gift I have seen was a can of anchovies with a tube of anti-itch cream. Or maybe it was just funny because of who got the gift!

I am the queen of regifting. Just last Friday night, I got together with my friends from high school. We hadn't ever exchanged gifts before, so it completely slipped my mind that I was supposed to bring one. The get together was at my best friends house. She just happened to have a little sexy Santa's helper suit she recieved at a gift exchange the night before. We snuck upstairs, wrapped it up, and I came back down with a gift. I thought whoever ended up with it would hate me, but the girl who got it and loved it. She was going to go home and put it on for her husband to spice up their sex life. That's my favorite regifting story. I found a way to regift a gift that was never mine to begin with.

Don't tell my son, but I regifted a candle he gave to me a couple of years ago. It was an expensive candle that his granny helped him buy for me, but it smelled like a granny for pete's sake! So, off to someone else it went. After two or three years. It had been fully enclosed so I wasn't worried about appearances. And my son totally forgot about giving it to me or where it might be lurking. Thank goodness!
