Project 52
What is Project 52?
Simply put, it's encouragement and support. We all have goals. Things we need to do. Things we want to do. Things we always mean to get around to. Project 52 gives you the chance to set goals, and then link up to support and encourage one another. We all know that we're more likely to do what we say we're going to do if we have someone holding us accountable. Project 52 gives you accountability, but without the judgment.
What is my obligation?
Signing up doesn't obligate you to do anything. This is your challenge. It's designed for your own self-improvement. We aren't going to chase you down if you link up and then disappear. Although we might chase you down to make sure you weren't kidnapped by aliens, because we care and stuff.
How do I get started?
You start by making a list of however many goals you like. We each chose 52. Some are going with 10. Some are going for half the year with 26. Find a number that feels comfortable to you. (We recommend starting with a smaller number if this is your first time attempting any sort of long-term goal-reaching exercise.) You can find strategies for brainstorming here, paring down your list here, and turning it into something manageable and measurable here.
Once you've got a list you feel satisfied with, post it on your blog. It can be in a post, or on its own page. After you publish your list, add the link to our Linky at the bottom of this page. We try to check the list regularly for new participants, but sometimes it takes awhile. So if you want us to know you're in, you can also email us at apeekatkarensworld(at)gmail(dot)com and jenneethompson(at)yahoo(dot)com.
What happens after I sign up?
Every Monday, Jennee and I will include a linky so that you can share updates on your progress and visit other participants. Once again, you aren't obligated to participate every week, or even at all. But part of the fun of Project 52 is to get involved. To really get the most out of it, we recommend that you update at least monthly.
I'm in!
Great! Now add your link at the bottom of this page. We look forward to having you along this year and are so excited to see where 2012 takes us.
